Cranbrook & District Probus Club
The Club exists to provide a regular meeting point for retired professional and businessmen, particularly for those who would appreciate and value, in their retirement, increased social contacts and the opportunity for meeting others in similar circumstances.
The Club normally meets for lunch on the second Monday of each month, at 12.15 for 12.45 in The Bull, The Street, Benenden, Kent TN17 4DE (Tel : 01580 240 054). Attendance at meetings is expected, and members should therefore inform the Hon. Treasurer beforehand if they are unable to attend or if they wish to bring a guest.
As well as the regular meetings outlined above, a series of informal meetings is organised by and for "Probus wives" (that is, the wives and female partners of Probus members). These take place on the third Monday of every month at 12 noon for 12.15 at a venue (normally a pub) which varies from month to month. The Ladies' Probus would welcome new members, and anyone interested in taking part in their activities is invited to contact their Secretary, Mrs Jenny Clark, who can be reached by telephone on 01892 723 709, or by e-mail at vinecare@steed.f2s.com.
